Edwardian & Flapper: Garments of the Past, A Textile Exhibit

Colcock-Teel House in Old Town Bluffton

The Bluffton Historical Preservation Society presents a new exhibit, “Edwardian & Flapper: Garments of the Past, A Textile Exhibit.” The exhibit is being held at the Colcock-Teel House in Old Town Bluffton. The exhibit features vintage clothing and quilts from the early 20th century, and detailed history of the Colcock-Teel House. Reservations are required for this exhibit. Sunset Celebration at Shelter Cove Community Park

Join us on the banks of Broad Creek for a picnic and a sunset serenade at the pavilion in Shelter Cove Community Park. Bring a beach chair, blanket, and pick up a picnic from one of our local merchants. Sunset Celebration, featuring live music and laid back family entertainment, is brought to you every Friday from June 19th to August 14th by the merchants of Shelter Cove Towne Centre.

Shelter Cove Community Park is located waterside at Shelter Cove Towne Centre. With panoramic views of Broad Creek and breathtaking sunsets, you can shop, dine, chill out, workout and even get the kinks out! Sweetgrass Basket Classes
Saturday, July 11th • 10:30 am – 12:30 pm
Coastal Discovery Museum

Learn about the history of the Sweetgrass basket, one of the Lowcountry’s best known art forms, from a local 7th generation Gullah basket maker. Then, try your hand at starting a basket of your own using locally found natural materials. Cost is $65 per person and reservations are required. You may call 843-689-6767 ext. 223.
