Beach renourishment activities adjacent to Port Royal Plantation have been completed. In coming days, our contractor will break down the pipeline used to build the project thus far in order to transport it for storage at the Town’s Islanders’ Beach Park and on the Town’s Collier Beach Property.By the end of the week, the pipeline necessary to build the South Beach segment will be delivered to the Island by barge where it will be off loaded and stored. Residents and visitors should expect to see additional activity on the Island’s south end. Fill placement is expected to resume within the next 5 to 7 days once the dredge has been repositioned.
