Freedom 5k

Please join VanLandingham Rotary for the island’s inaugural Freedom 5k. We chose Memorial Day to host this event to honor the fallen heroes that have fought for our freedom as Americans. Additionally, we want to celebrate the current men and women serving in the armed forces by offering a discount for their families to run/walk in this event. 100% of the proceeds from the Freedom 5k will go towards the Zack VanLandingham Scholarship Fund which awards an annual $10,000.00 college scholarship to a local senior to fulfill their dream and receive a college education at a four-year institution. This event will be chip timed and managed by Palmetto Running Company. So, it is our intention to attract competitive runners as well as the novice athletes and patriots.
